Mit der Vorstellung des neuen MacBook Pro hat man sich bei Apple nicht nur Freunde gemacht. Warum? In der neuesten Iteration des Laptops verzichtet der Hersteller aus Cupertino voll und ganz auf Ports wie USB, SD Kartenleser, MacSafe etc. Lediglich Thunderbolt 3 Anschlüsse, die im USB-C Formfaktor um die Ecke kommen werden verbaut. Das heißt, dass die Besitzer eines dieser neuen Geräte mal wieder eine Menge Adapter benötigen. Für eben jene Adapter und für die neuen 4k/5k LG Displays hat der Hersteller vor einiger Zeit die Preise gesenkt und verlängert den Rabatt bis 31. März 2017.
Gegenüber The Loop hatte sich Apple auch noch zum dem Preisverfall geäußert. Konkret ging es darum dem Nutzer den Übergang so einfach wie möglich zu machen.

We care about what they love and what they are worried about. And it’s our job to help people through these changes. We know we made good decisions about what to build into the new MacBook Pro and that the result is the best notebook ever made, but it might not be right for everyone on day one. That’s okay, some people felt that way about the first iMac and that turned out pretty good.
Nun folgt also die Verlängerung der Aktion bis 31. März:
Sonderpreise für USB-C und Thunderbolt 3 Zubehör für eine begrenzte Zeit* … * Rabatt im Preis berücksichtigt. Abhängig von Verfügbarkeit und Mengengrenzen. Die Preise gelten von 27. Oktober 2016 bis 31. März 2017.
Hier ist die Liste, der betreffenden Adapter mit dem alten und dem neuen Preis:
- USB-C auf USB – von 25 auf 9 Euro
- Thunderbolt 3 auf Thunderbolt 2 – von 59 auf 35 Euro
- USB-C Digital AV Multiport – von 79 Euro auf 59 Euro
- USB-C VGA Multiport – von 79 Euro auf 59 Euro
- USB-C auf Lightning (1m) – von 29 Euro auf 25 Euro
- USB-C auf Lightning (2m) – von 39 Euro auf 35 Euro
Neben den neuen Preisen für Adapter, hatte man auch die neuen LG Ultrafine 4k und 5k Displays im Preis gesenkt. Kostete das kleine Modell mit 4k Auflösung zum Release noch 749 Euro, ist es nun für 561 Euro zu haben. Das größere 5k Display kostet statt 1399 Euro ebenfalls nur noch 1049 Euro.
